You heard that right! TaxiDXB is a new taxi service available at Terminal 3. It can take you straight to your departure gate, to a nearby restaurant when you’re hungry, or to any of the shops within the terminal. And did we mention that it’s free of charge? Yes siree!
Free ‘TaxiDXB’ Service Now Available at Terminal 3
“A new taxi service has landed inside DXB,” the Dubai Media Office posted on Twitter. “TaxiDXB aims to provide a free service for passengers to reach their gate or enjoy the airport, with a priority to families and the elderly.”
Each yellow-coloured taxi, which contains eight seats looks pretty much like a golf car, really. At present, there are 15 of them roaming around Terminal 3. Soon, the new service shall be extended to other terminals as well.
Passengers can catch a free ride at any of the pick-up points near the arrival and departure levels. Or, they can simply hail a passing taxi and the driver will come, pronto!
The TaxiDXB service is available for all passengers. However, priority will be given to the elderly as well as to families with young children, of course!
