The municipality stressed that its strict measures towards violators and manipulators in markets who do not follow the Consumer Protection Law issued in 2006 and its executive regulations for 2007. Some of these penalties include immediate fines with a value ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 Dirhams, depending on the size and type of violation.
In the event of repeated violations, shops can face closure.
