Health Teams Review Ebola Situation
The meeting was chaired by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, under the oversight of NCEMA.
Officials reviewed the latest developments related to Ebola, along with the UAE’s national health surveillance and response systems.
They also discussed the precautionary measures already in place. These include monitoring systems, response plans, and coordination between relevant entities at the local, national, and international levels.
For residents and expats, this means UAE authorities are watching the situation and reviewing systems before any wider risk develops.
Surveillance System Under Continuous Review
NCEMA and MoHAP said the UAE’s national surveillance and response system is continuously evaluated and reviewed.
Authorities said this review is done in line with international standards and best practices. The goal is to make sure the country can respond quickly and properly to emerging health situations.
This includes communicable diseases, which are illnesses that can spread from one person, animal, or source to another.
Hospitals and Medical Teams Stay Prepared
The statement also confirmed that healthcare facilities and medical teams remain prepared to respond if needed.
This does not mean residents should panic. It means health teams are expected to stay ready for different possible public health situations.
The UAE said it continues to apply precautionary monitoring measures as part of its proactive approach to public health.
