ABU DHABI, May 4, 2026 — The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned what it described as renewed terrorist and unprovoked Iranian attacks targeting civilian sites and facilities in the country using missiles and drones, according to a statement carried by WAM News Agency.

Dangerous Escalation

The attacks resulted in the injury of three Indian nationals, prompting a sharp response from the UAE government. In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the strikes marked a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable act of aggression against the country.

The ministry said the attacks pose a direct threat to the UAE’s security, stability, and territorial integrity. It added that the strikes violate the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

UAE Reserves Right to Respond

The UAE stressed that it will not accept any threat to its security and sovereignty under any circumstances. The ministry said the country reserves its full and legitimate right to respond to the attacks in a way that protects its sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors, in line with international law.

Call for Immediate Halt

Officials also said that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure is clearly condemned under legal and humanitarian standards. The ministry called for an immediate halt to the attacks and urged full compliance with the cessation of all hostilities.

In its statement, the UAE held Iran fully responsible for the attacks and for the consequences resulting from them.

The remarks reflect the UAE’s firm position against attacks on civilian areas and its insistence on protecting national security amid rising regional tensions.
