The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is rolling out a $200 cash assistance program for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Middle East who have experienced job loss or reduced income. This initiative helps ease the financial burden caused by recent regional instability. Thousands of OFWs have already received support through a highly simplified application process. DMW is planning to ramp up the distribution and according to a recent advise from the Migrant Workers Office in Dubai, the application for this ayuda (aid) will be done online only.
OFWs whose work have been disrupted (whether job loss or reduced hours) can apply for the financial aid through an Online Application Form which will be announced soon by the Migrant Workers Office. Once you’ve registered and your application is approved, the payout will also be done via Money Transfer. OFWs are advised not to visit the MWO Dubai office in-person. Again, the procedure will be done online only.

Application Procedure
Follow these simple instructions to secure your financial aid once the online portal opens:
- Prepare your files now: Scan your passport, visa, and proof of job loss. Save them on your phone or computer so they are ready to upload. Preparing early gives you a major advantage since demand will be high.
- Wait for the official link: Monitor the official Facebook page of your local MWO, Philippine Embassy, or Consulate. They will post the official Request for Assistance Form and application link.
- Submit your application: Once the online link is active, fill out the digital form completely and upload your prepared documents. Ensure all details are accurate to avoid processing delays. Do not visit the MWO office in person, as they will only process online submissions.
- Wait for verification: The office will review your submission to ensure it meets government auditing rules.
- Receive your funds: After the office approves your application, they will send your one-time $200 (around ₱12,000) cash assistance directly to you via money transfer.
