The Dubai Run took place on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Excitement and energy were high as HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led 193,000 people of all ages and abilities in the fourth edition of Dubai Run. The run is free for anyone who wants to participate, making it one of the biggest events available.
Every year, the Dubai Run is a much-anticipated event by participants of all levels, as it is one of the key highlights during the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge. Thanks to its leadership under His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, The citywide initiative has helped transform Dubai into becoming not only the most active city but also provided its citizens and residents with free access to fitness events and other activities that promote wellness – making it an even happier and healthier place.

Dubai Run 2022 with HH Sheikh Hamdan
This year, 193,000 enthusiastic people of all ages and walks of life participated in the fourth edition of Dubai Run. The run started near the Museum of the Future, where runners and walkers were dressed brightly in neon green colours. There was a 5km and 10km route available for participants to choose from. Both routes went through Central Dubai, passing by some iconic landmarks along the way.
Donning the Official Dubai Run T-shirts from Sun & Sand Sports, social runners and families took on the 5km route by popular attractions such as Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa. The more experienced runners felt exhilarated by the 10km route which followed Sheikh Zayed Road all the way to ดthe Dubai Canal before bring participants back towards familiar sights like the
Dubai World Trade Centre then ending at Al Mustaqbal Street near one of Finacial powerhouses in UAE – The DIFC.

Dubai Run 2021 on Sheikh Zayed Road
Dubai runners and fitness enthusiasts took part in the Dubai Run on Sheikh Zayed Road. As one of the events of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, the famous Dubai road was closed for participants on November 26, 2021.
The run includes a 5-km Fun Run and a 10-km Run, with both routes starting and ending at Dubai World Trade Centre. The event was FREE to attend.
The Dubai Media Office shared photos of the successful event which had 146,000 participants overall. This is the largest number of participants so far.
