Early this year, we shared about how much Emirates pilots earn per month. Given the highly technical nature of their job, they are entitled to a hefty salary and attractive benefits. But aside from airline careers, what are other high-paying jobs in the UAE?

To answer this question, we referred to Emolument, a website that gathers data about people’s salaries through surveys. Based on their benchmark data, we discovered the highest-paying jobs in the country, and particularly — the highest-paying jobs in Dubai.

Legal department professionals earn the highest in the UAE.

Jobs with the Highest Salaries in the UAE

According to Emolument data, legal department professionals earn the highest in the UAE, with an average salary of USD 157,000 (AED 576,661) every year. Meanwhile, those working in financial services and airlines make USD 117,000 (AED 429,741) and USD 102,000 (AED 374,646), respectively.

Notably, the highest-paying company in the country is Deutsche Bank, which offers an average salary of USD 300,000 (AED 1,101,900). It is followed by Credit Suisse with USD 269,000 (AED 988,037). Nokia also made it to the list, offering an average salary of USD 180,000 (AED 661,140).

Airline careers have a high earning potential.

Data for Dubai is similar to country-wide results. Legal department professionals earn the highest, with an average salary of USD 163,000 (AED 598,699) per annum. Careers in financial services and executive management make USD 114,000 (AED 418,722) and USD 98,000 (AED 359,954) respectively.

Credit Suisse is second in the UAE, but it is the highest-paying company in Dubai, offering an average salary of USD 269,000 (AED 988,037). It is followed by Bank of America Merrill Lynch with USD 260,000 (AED 954,980). Hewlett Packard is also on the list, with an average salary of USD 215,000 (AED 789,695).

Those working in financial services earn high salaries in Dubai and the UAE.
