Dubai has approved a second economic incentives package worth AED1.5 billion, bringing total support to AED2.5 billion in under two months. 18,104 Services Given to Returning and Former OFWs
The DMW and partner agencies delivered 18,104 services to 2,890 former OFWs and 455 recently repatriated OFWs through the National Reintegration Network and Job Fair. The support covered job referrals, livelihood aid, welfare services, training vouchers, and scholarships to help returning workers restart their lives in the Philippines.

Philippines Provides P7.766M Aid to 4,398 OFWs From Middle East thru DSWD
The DSWD said it has provided over P7.766 million in aid to 4,398 repatriated and stranded OFWs from the Middle East. Support included psychological first aid, cash aid, livelihood assistance, medical support, and psychosocial services under the government’s response to the Middle East crisis.
UAE Says Health System Ready to Monitor Ebola
NCEMA and MoHAP have reaffirmed the UAE’s readiness to monitor Ebola-related developments through national health surveillance and response systems. Officials reviewed precautionary measures, coordination with partners, and healthcare preparedness. Residents were urged to rely only on official sources and avoid sharing inaccurate health information.
Cebu Pacific Sets July Return for Dubai Flights
Cebu Pacific will resume its Dubai flights on July 2, 2026, after suspending the route due to Middle East security concerns. The airline will operate four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Passengers with cancelled Dubai flights may rebook through Cebu Pacific’s Manage Booking portal.

Correct Your PH Civil Registry Record via Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
The Philippine Statistics Authority launched APCAS, a new digital system that makes civil registry corrections faster. The system covers petitions under RA 9048 and RA 10172, including errors in names, nicknames, day and month of birth, and sex. PSA says processing time may drop by at least 80 percent.
Paid Eid Holiday Confirmed for UAE Private Workers
Private sector employees across the UAE will receive a four-day paid holiday from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, 2026, for Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha. Normal work is expected to resume on Monday, June 1. Employers must follow the official holiday period.
