GCash Now Accepts Emirates ID for OFW Verification Until July 11
GCash now allows OFWs in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar to use select government-issued foreign IDs for app verification. The update runs from May 12 to July 11, 2026, and aims to help newly registered users complete verification faster within the app.

UAE Cuts Prices of 168 Medicines Starting May 30
The UAE will reduce retail prices of 168 medicines for chronic and critical diseases starting May 30. The price cuts cover treatments for diabetes, hypertension, cancer, cholesterol, asthma, eye diseases, and other conditions. Discounts range from about 5% to nearly 60%, depending on the medicine and category.
