Pinoy in Dubai Gives “Turnover” Tour of House in Camella Homes
“Lahat naman tayo nangangarap ng sariling bahay, kaya masaya ako na natupad ko yun at the age of 29 years old. Lahat ng kalungkutan, hirap, at pagod sa abroad ay sulit na sulit (Everyone dreams of having a house, so I am happy to have achieved this at 29 years old. All the loneliness, hardship, and sacrifices abroad have been worth it),” Dan Jan said.
Dan Jan shared two videos about his dream home. The first one focused on the development and construction of his house, while the second video features the actual “turnover” of his new home.
In the first video, Dan Jan mentioned that he and his wife decided to buy a house in 2017. They went “tripping” to a branch of Camella Homes in the Philippines. They chose the location because it was near everything, and had great amenities, including 24/7 security.
For the design, they chose Camella Homes’ “Bella” model, a two-storey house that includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, and other areas. The lot area measures 88 square metres, while the floor area measures 53 square metres.
House construction began in July 2018, while Dan Jan was in Dubai. In October 2018, he went on vacation to the Philippines and visited the house, which was still under construction. In September 2019, he paid a second visit. He didn’t have the key yet, so he just took pictures.
“Nakita ko na ang bunga ng 6 na taong pagsisikap na pagtatrabaho sa abroad. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na natupad ko and ang aking munting pangarap na sariling bahay (I saw the fruit of my 6 years of hard work abroad. It felt really good to know that I achieved my dream of having my own house),” he stated.
In the second video, Dan Jan gave a “turnover tour” of his new house. He went from room to room, excited to show every part of the house. To his viewers, he shared some inspiring words as well.
“Hindi man ako mayaman sa pinansyal, hindi man ako magkaroon ng maraming pera sa ngayon, masaya na ako na makatanggap ng simpleng pasasalamat mula sa aking pamilya na labis kong ipinagmamalaki. Sapat na sa akin yun! Parang lahat ng pagod, stress, sakripisyo, paghihirap at kalungkutan ay talagang sulit na sulit (I may not be rich financially, I may not have much money now, but I am happy to receive a simple thanks from my family, whom I am so proud of. This is enough for me! All the hardship, stress, sacrifices, and loneliness are truly worth it),” he said.
“Payo ko lang sa lahat ng OFW na katulad ko, wag mawalan ng pag-asa at wag sumuko sa hamon ng buhay, at lagi manalangin sa Poong Maykapal (My advise to my fellow OFWS is this: do not lose hope, do not give up amid life’s challenges, and always pray to our Lord),” Dan Jan added.
Congratulations, Dan Jan, on your new and beautiful home! Your story is, indeed, an inspiration to other OFWs. Your experience shows that all the hardships of working abroad are truly worth it — just to ensure that our loved ones back home are safe, happy, and living comfortably.
