PHILIPPINES: Taal Volcano on a Sunday (January 12, 2020) afternoon erupted and by evening, thousands of residents have been evacuated with the assistance of the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Flights (both arrivals and departures) have been cancelled at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) due to the eruption.
