Suspicious Signs Noticed at Arrival
According to the official report, customs inspection officers noticed suspicious indicators linked to a passenger of African nationality who had arrived in the UAE.
The passenger was then placed under advanced inspection procedures. Authorities later transferred the passenger to a hospital for further medical checks.
The case shows how airport security teams use behaviour analysis, field assessment, and risk evaluation to detect possible smuggling attempts before illegal items enter the country.
100 Capsules Found During Medical Checks
Medical examinations confirmed that foreign objects were hidden inside the passenger’s body.
Authorities said 100 capsules containing cocaine were extracted. The total weight of the seized cocaine was 1,418 grams.
After the discovery, officials completed the required seizure report. The suspect and the confiscated narcotics were then referred to the proper authorities for legal action.
Customs Teams Credit Risk Analysis and Coordination
ICP said the operation reflects the advanced skills of customs inspection officers in detecting suspicious behaviour and identifying more complex smuggling methods.
The National Anti Narcotics Authority also praised the coordination between operational teams and analysis systems. It said this cooperation supports the UAE’s ability to fight drug smuggling attempts with speed and professionalism.
Officials also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting society, strengthening national security, and stopping narcotics related threats targeting the UAE.
