flydubai Inaugurates Dubai to Thessaloniki Flights

Have you ever dreamed of going to the land of great myths and legends? Well, now is your chance! flydubai has just begun operating direct flights from Dubai to Thessaloniki, Greece.

Aside from being a top tourist destination, Greece also holds strong business ties with the UAE. At present, more than 170 Greek companies are registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Likewise, trade between the two countries has been going strong since last year.

Direct Flights from Dubai to Thessaloniki, Greece

flyDubai has launched flights to Thessaloniki, making it the first UAE airline to offer direct flights from Dubai to the famous Greek city. Upon arriving at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” — the first flight from Dubai International (DXB) was greeted with a water cannon salute.

“As the first carrier to operate direct flights from Dubai to Thessaloniki, we are excited about the new opportunities that this route will provide for trade and tourism between the UAE and Greece,” shared Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations at flydubai.

“Since more than 70% of our network was previously underserved, we remained committed to the vision set for us to create free flows of trade and tourism and to strengthen direct air links with the UAE,” he explained.
