Missing home or just craving for great Pinoy food? Fret no more: The Original La Paz Batchoy is now open at Al Rigga Deira, Dubai.
This is the first store of the Filipino brand to open in the UAE to date. Hundreds of excited customers trooped to the area to witness the Grand Opening of La Paz Batchoy last August 29 and basked in the familiar ambience of Pinoy fiesta-like theme.

With attention-grabbing music playing in the background, majorettes dashed to the beat with The Philippine School, Dubai Drum and Lyre, Franz with the LP Angels and The Mystery Pocket Band talents.
It was an exceptional number indeed, which drew loud cheers from the audience while several Filipino social media influencers took the stage to have fun with the crowd.
Present at the launch event were Georgia Fritada of Tag 91.1; Mr. Gab Rimando, President of Filipino Institute; Mr. Antonio Mutuc Jr., POLO Supervising Officer; and Actor and Entrepreneur Mr. Charles Christianson.
Authentically Filipino: What the La Paz Batchoy Offers
For those craving for good-ole’ heart-warming Filipino food, La Paz Batchoy offers a wide array of sumptuous traditional Pinoy favorites. Aside from its trademark batchoy – the noodle soup made of chicken stock, round noodles, beef loin, and other tasty ingredients, they also serve beef adobo, sizzling sisig, mixed seafood sinigang, beef with broccoli, inihaw na boneless bangus, and chicken sisig, among others.
The original recipe of La Paz Batchoy traces back to its roots in the district of La Paz, in the province of Iloilo. ‘Batchoy’, on the other hand, comes from the Chinese word ‘Bac Qui’, which means small pieces of meat.
The management’s successful exploration of the UAE market has pushed them to open their first store in Dubai.
To retain their signature taste, two of the store’s cooks were transferred from the Saudi Arabia branch to properly prepare the taste of La Paz Batchoy in the UAE.
According to Adel Al Dulaim, Vice President of La Paz Batchoy, “We are also planning to expand the La Paz Batchoy into five more branches. UAE is a good market since many Filipinos are here, who might be missing the taste of the Philippines thru Batchoy.”
