The UAE will see hot weather during the Eid Al Adha holiday period from May 25 to 31, 2026, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. Inland areas may reach 48°C, while coastal areas may see humidity, fog, and light fog. The public is advised to avoid direct sunlight.
Philippines DMW Office Targets Facebook and TikTok Job Scams
The Department of Migrant Workers is expanding its campaign against online job scams and illegal recruitment targeting aspiring OFWs. From 2020 to 2026, more than 204,000 illegal recruitment related posts were removed from Facebook and TikTok. DMW is also strengthening partnerships with DICT, LGUs, IACAT, and social partners.
Dubai RTA Issues Metro Reminder Ahead of Eid Rush
Dubai RTA has advised Eid Al Adha travellers to use the Dubai Metro to reach Dubai International Airport and avoid road traffic. Passengers must keep enough nol card balance and follow Metro luggage limits. Emirates also advised flyers to arrive three hours early and use digital check-in options.

Dubai Approves AED1.5B Business Relief Package
Dubai has approved a second economic incentives package worth AED1.5 billion, bringing total support to AED2.5 billion in under two months. The package includes 33 initiatives covering education, tourism, trade, customs, transport, real estate, civil aviation, arts, and business support, with timelines to be announced by concerned entities.
18,104 Services Given to Returning and Former OFWs
The DMW and partner agencies delivered 18,104 services to 2,890 former OFWs and 455 recently repatriated OFWs through the National Reintegration Network and Job Fair. The support covered job referrals, livelihood aid, welfare services, training vouchers, and scholarships to help returning workers restart their lives in the Philippines.

Abu Dhabi Police introduced Major Saqr, an intelligent robotic officer, at ISNR Abu Dhabi. The robot will support the emirate’s traffic police by engaging with the public, sharing road safety messages, and helping raise awareness through direct interaction with community members.
