Enrique Iglesias Closes Emirates Dubai Jazz Festival

World Latin pop sensation Enrique Iglesias closes the 3rd and final night of the Emirates airline Dubai Jazz Festival at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Fans of the Spanish singer, songwriter and record producer danced to his famous hits. When asked to choose between upbeat or slow tracks, concert-goers were in unison in requesting him to play his uptempo songs.

The 15th anniversary of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival ended with a resounding success on Friday, February 24th. The founders, ChillOut Productions joined by their sponsors including Emirates Airline and Dodsal had a ceremonial cutting of the cake to mark the occasion. The festival is the most recognized music event in the UAE and the region receiving more than 20 awards and nominations since its launch in 2003. This year, it attracted over 37,000 guests with more coming from different parts of the world to see music heavyweights such as Enrique Iglesias, Mariah Carey and Tom Jones.

Its last night saw Enrique Iglesias, the biggest Latin recording artist in music history performing the best of his hits to his energetic and highly engaged fans. His songs including “Heartbeat”, “Be With You”, “I like How It Feels,” “Bailando”, “Esto No Me Gusto” and “Tonight (I’m Loving’ You)” proved to be some of the crowd favorites. He also made a lot of his followers’ night by dancing and singing with them onstage and accepting their gifts including an Enrique Iglesias trophy, bouquet of flowers and UAE flag. The superstar who wore his signature white tee and baseball cap closed the show with a sexy rendition of “Hero.”

Opening for Enrique Iglesias was Nathan Sykes. Having released two of his own tracks in 2015, Nathan has already topped the US Billboard Dance Chart with his debut single Kiss Me Quick and embarked on a sell-out headline UK tour.

The event also featured two secondary stages presenting the Anghami Sessions powered by Yamaha that showcased exceptional local and regional talents, Hamdan Abri of Abri and Funk, Layla Kardan, Soul Gorilla’z and Still Raw.
