Advisory: No More Extension of PH Passport Validity

To all Filipinos, please be advised that the extension of passport validity is no longer accepted. According to a post from the Philippine Embassy in UAE, the Department of Foreign Affairs has directed all Philippine Embassies and Consulates to stop passport extension.

This is inline with the rules and regulations imposed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

So for OFWs who have passports that are about to expire, this means that you cannot request to extend the validity of your passport. It is also important that you renew your passport within 10 months of the expiry date to give time for the processing.
