His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Express Sympathy for Victims in Taal Volcano Eruption

In his tweet – which is written in the Filipino language, Sheikh Mohamed said:

“Ipinapaabot namin ang pakikiramay sa mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas sa pagputok ng Bulkang Taal. Ipinagdarasal naming matapos ito nang may kaunting pinsala. Nakikiisa ang UAE sa Pilipinas sa hamong ito at handang magbigay ng suporta at tulong.”

He consequently posted in English sharing that the UAE stands in solidarity and shares that the UAE is ready to provide all support and assistance.

“Our hearts go out to the people of Philippines after the eruption of the Taal volcano. We pray that these tough times are over with the least losses. The UAE stands in solidarity with the Philippines in these difficult times and is ready to provide all support and assistance.”

As a Filipino, it feels good to have the sentiments and issues of fellow kabayans acknowledged by a leader in the Middle East. While there are challenging problems surrounding OFWs abroad, having the support of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi express his sympathy towards the Taal volcano victims shows that the UAE values us and our contributions. Thank you to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan!
