Breaking News: HH Sheikh Rashid dies of heart attack
Dubai is mourning the death of Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the eldest son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The cause of death was a heart attack and the prince was to turn 34 on November 12.
3-Day Mourning Period in Dubai
There is a three-day mourning period in honor of His Highness. The UAE flag will be flown at half mast during this period.
A report by UAE state-news WAM mentions that the Dubai’s Ruler Court states that work in government departments and institutions in Dubai will continue as normal during mourning period.
Prayers will be held at the Zabeel mosque tonight, and a funeral at Bur Dubai’s Umm Harir cemetery.
