Residents in the emirate who wish to join the vaccination program may now avail of a free ride home from select vaccination centers, the Dubai government announced.
The Dubai Taxi (Hala) free ride can be hailed from 10 vaccination centers across the emirate. This is part of the government’s campaign to support the city and those who wish to participate in the vaccination program.
Dubai Offers Free Taxi Rides for Those Going Home from Select Vaccination Centers
Hala, a joint venture between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and Careem, said that the initiative underscores its efforts to drive support to the city and those who wish to participate in the vaccination program, the Gulf News reported.
To book a ride home, users need to use the Careem app and use the code ‘HALAVAC’ by clicking the Hala Taxi.
Users may then choose to book a Hala (taxi) or Hala van.
The ten vaccination centers included in this campaign where free rides can be availed from are:
- Alittihad Health Center,
- Hor Al Anz Health Center,
- Al Qusais Health Center,
- Zabeel Primary Health Care Center,
- Al Mizhar Primary Health Care Center,
- Nad Al Hamr Primary Health Care Center,
- Al Barsha Primary Health Care Center,
- Al Safa Primary Health Care Center,
- One Central, and
- The Dubai Parks and Resorts.
Commenting on the campaign, Clemence Duterte, CEO of Hala, said that this is their way of supporting the emirate during this crucial time.
According to the terms of the offer, it gives 100 percent credit back or a maximum of AED 30 for two rides. This offer is only valid for the amount paid through cash or card and not on the amount paid through the wallet.
The offer will run until February 18 only.
