Last month, we shared the exciting news about the UAE creating a nation brand logo that would represent the country for the next 50 years. This is all part of a vision declared as “2020: Towards the Next 50,” even as the nation also approaches its Golden Jubilee in 2021.
With this, the country’s leaders — the Ruler of Dubai and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi — have taken to social media, calling on all residents to join in the selection of a new UAE logo.
We are launching a new brand for the UAE to share the story of our nation with the rest of the world. We invite everyone to be part of choosing the logo that will represent our country for the next 50 years on https://t.co/LphDiHq1Ly. For every vote, we will plant a tree. pic.twitter.com/QoMvpM6BdQ

UAE Leaders Call on Residents to Choose Nation’s Logo
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has extended an invitation to vote for the country’s new logo, along with a pledge to help care for the environment… For every vote counted, a tree will be planted. Awesome!
Through a post on Twitter, the Dubai Ruler shared a video featuring the proposed designs. He also called on everyone to visit a website, https://www.nationbrand.ae/, to cast their votes.
Likewise, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has also extended an invitation:
Our success story is global, the UAE’s story stems from our desire to cooperate with others. I invite everyone to take part in choosing the UAE Nation Brand logo that will be the symbol of a nation that strives to be the best in the world within 100 years of its inception. pic.twitter.com/x30VFQq00M

Three Great Designs to Choose From
The official website presents the following logos, along with a brief description of what each design symbolizes for the country:
- Emirates in Calligraphy. “The logo depicts the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy that reflects authenticity and originality associated with the UAE.”
- 7 Lines. “Seven lines, shaping the map of the Emirates with the flag colors, represent the future-focused leaders of the seven emirates united towards the country’s growth.”
- The Palm. “Symbolizing the willpower of the leaders and people of UAE, palm trees have withstood storms and challenges with strength and firmness.”
To cast your vote for the UAE’s nation brand logo (and to help plant a tree in the process), please visit https://www.nationbrand.ae/.
Simply by voting for a design, not only will you help choose the UAE’s nation brand logo… you’ll also be helping to save the environment! Now that’s what we call a great campaign, and just in time for the upcoming Expo 2020 Dubai, which will gather people from around the world!
