How to Apply for UAE Amnesty 2018

The UAE amnesty program aims to help illegal residents to protect their status by either leaving the country or change their cancelled/expired visa to a valid one without getting any Fines. This is a good opportunity for a lot of undocumented expats to convert the UAE visas and stay legally or exit the country.

How to Avail Amnesty Program in UAE

Here are some things to know on how you can avail the 2018 amnesty. Please be guided accordingly.

WHO THIS IS FOR:
The Amnesty is ONLY for those who are overstaying and have absconding cases will be covered by this immigration amnesty.

For those who have financial cases (non-payment of credit cards, bounced cheques or unpaid loans, etc.), police cases, and other cases, you need to resolve these cases first before you can avail the amnesty.

WHERE TO GO IN UAE
1. In Dubai, there are 2 centers for 2 different cases in Dubai: Amer Centers and Al Aweer office.

Amer Centers — for those who want to stay in the UAE and legalize their residence status:
— Exemption of financial penalties (residence overstay penalty, Emirates ID, labor card)
— Close the absconding case
— Renew an expired visa or get a new stamped visa from your sponsor

Al Aweer Office — for those who want to Exit the UAE

2. In Abu Dhabi, go to Immigration offices in Shahama, Al Ain and Al Gharbia

3. In Other Emirates,  Go to the main immigration offices

WHEN TO AVAIL AMNESTY
Amnesty period is from August 1 – to October 31, 2018
Reception Centers open from 8am to 8pm.

FEES TO PAY

521 AED – Fee to Correct Residency
221 AED – Fee to Exit the UAE

Fees for those who want to close an absconding case
121 AED – for individuals
521 AED – for private institutions
71 AED – for government institutions

DOCUMENTS REQUIREED TO BRING
Passport
If No Passport — You need to go to your respective country Embassies/Consulate General offices to request for a travel document (after presenting a certificate of loss of passport).

Flight ticket back home – Violator must provide the ticket and travel date must be booked after 10 days of visiting the amnesty office.
