Abu Dhabi Food Festival Kicks off with ‘World of Food Abu Dhabi’

‘Tis the season for merry-making and binge eating. Kidding aside, if you do get on this habit, at least get to taste each of the flavours offered by various cuisines from all over the world. And the perfect place for this purpose here in the UAE is Abu Dhabi.

Great news! The Abu Dhabi Food Festival returns this year and kicks off with the popular food event ‘World of Food Abu Dhabi’ held at Umm Al Emarat Park from December 13-17 from 6:00 p.m. until midnight on weekdays and from 2:00 p.m. ‘til midnight on weekends, as shared in a report by WAM.ae.

 

Abu Dhabi Food Festival Opens Celebrations with ‘World of Food Abu Dhabi’

The highly acclaimed food event will run for five days, bringing a host of family entertainment and great international cuisine. The event is set up with 15 main dining stations, where a group of world-renowned master chefs will display their culinary techniques through live cooking demonstrations, which includes President of World Chefs, Thomas Gugler, slated on Thursday (Dec 13) and Friday (Dec 14).  Also making the list of master chefs is famous Jordanian TV chef Manal Alalem, who will give her live version of cooking demonstration for all visitors to take notes from and to taste.

Other famous international chefs who will exhibit their work at the event are Michelin-starred chefs Claude Taffarello from France, Julia Komp from Germany and Vineet Bhatia from India.

Live cooking demonstrations will also be facilitated by the UAE Culinary National Team, Indian restaurateur Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Sultan Al Otaiba from the UAE, Chef Tarek Ibrahim, Chef Domenico Maggi from Italy, as well as chefs from Switzerland, Iceland, India, Malaysia, Britain, South Africa, Mauritius, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Russia, Slovenia and Mexico.

The event will bring visitors and guests on a journey around the world through the exquisite selection of cuisines presented by various food mavens, all internationally renowned for their skills and talents.

With the event focusing on family entertainment, great food, and shared experiences, there’s no better place to have it done at than the Umm Al Emarat Park as it offers modern and diverse facilities, which are uniquely appealing to the senses and perfect for exquisite activities such as the Abu Dhabi Food Festival.
